The Watchmaker and First Cause

The first principle calls for us to know God exists in so doing we’re called upon to develop proofs for His existence. The funny thing about proofs for God, in of themselves, is they’re rarely so persuasive that people base their entire religious life on them. What they are quite effective in doing is deepening one’s already existing belief. Without pushing for a more sophisticated view of God, one is left with their notions of “that guy in the sky” that they first developed as children. To genuinely engage God means a lifetime of “proofs” and what is revealed from that experience. This class reviews two classic proofs for God: The Teleological and Cosmological approach.
