The world you exist in seems to have two planes of existence. One is a world of facts. The other is a world of meaning. At it’s fundamental level, Judaism is a map of meaning that enables us to consider and weigh value judgement. Three basic maps of meaning are put forward in Judaism that act as a sort of cheat in recognizing what is going on in the world around us – Create, A redemptive Hero’s Journey, Destruction. The sooner you realize what type of map you’re in the sooner you can avoid it’s pitfalls and cash in on the treasures that are there waiting to be noticed.
